Oh no!! I'm a blogger!!

Well, I took the inevitable step and am now an official blogger. Why not? I post on the internet constantly, I mights as well have my own space. Ha!

So, I decided that all the sites out there giving opinions and ratings on places around Houston just weren't doing it for me. Most of the time I don't agree with the ratings and/or reviews, plus I prefer to see and experience things myself. I realized who better to discuss what is going on in and around Houston than me? I've lived here my entire life *won't discuss age* and I've seen this city go through so many changes. Both for better and for worst. As time goes on and I get more and more involved with "blogging", I am hoping to make this a great "go-to" resource for everyone. Also, you can always feel free to check out my listings or contact me to buy a house. ;) I am a great Realtor!!

I suppose that I will just HAVE to make my first post dedicated to the review of one of my favorite places in the whole wide world: Chuy's. I mean, seriously, if you live in Houston or Austin and have not experienced Chuy's, you have NO IDEA what you are missing.

Chuy's is Tex-Mex at it's finest. As soon as you pass the thatched roof outdoor seating area and head through the front door, you begin to understand why this place is so amazing. Besides the cheesy velvet elvis pics everywhere and hubcaps hanging precariously all over the walls, your nose is greeted with an inviting array of fantastic, fattening, cholesterol raising scents. The menu is bombarded with a bajizillion options ranging from nachos to combo plates (enchiladas, yum!) to their noteworthy green chile specialties. Let us not forget the margaritas whilst we gather 'round the table for a big pile of chips and the ever popular creamy jalapeno dressing. I have yet to experience a meal at Chuy's that wasn't totally satisfying, completely filling and absolutely Tex-Mex! 5 stars from me, for sure.

  3. I am now your first follower! WOOOO!!!

Go Danelle! I wish I were a lot closer--I LOVE tex-mex (though I wonder if the Canadian "tex mex" is at all similar to your Texas "tex mex"....I think yours may be more authentic!) and would LOVE to check this place out!
